Chinese Minister of Finance Meets ADB President

Chinese Minister of Finance Xiang Huaicheng met with the president of the Asian Development Bank ( ADB), Tadao Chino, in Beijing Wednesday morning.

Chinese Minister of Finance Xiang Huaicheng met with the president of the Asian Development Bank ( ADB), Tadao Chino, in Beijing Wednesday morning.

Xiang, also chairman of the 35th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of ADB, conferred with Tadao Chino on the matters related to the ADB annual meeting to be hosted by Shanghai.

Xiang welcomed Tadao Chino's early arrival in China to prepare for the meeting. "China has done much preparatory work for the annual meeting, and is confident it will be successful," he said.

Tadao Chino expressed appreciation and thanks for the Chinese government's outstanding contributions to the meeting. The world will learn still more about China's achievements through this meeting, he added.

He also said he believes the current annual meeting will succeed because of the joint efforts of the ADB and China.
