US Firms Interested in China's Infrastructure Development

American companies are showing great interest in China's infrastructure development at the current Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

American companies are showing great interest in China's infrastructure development at the current Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

One hundred and thirteen representatives from 67 American companies attended the opening of the Sino-U.S. forum on infrastructure development, and were joined by 106 Chinese delegates from 21 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions.

The five-day forum is one of the ongoing activities of the ADB meeting, which is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Commerce.

According to ADB sources, U.S. businessm people are mostly interested in power generation and sewage treatment projects.

American companies also have big opportunities in China in the fields of agriculture, energy, the environment, banking, communications and telecommunications, and urban development, said a U.S. official.
