Vietnam always wishes that China will unceasingly develop, contributing to peace, stability and development in the region as well as in the world, said Vietnamese Prime Minister Phan Van Khai Friday.

Khai made the remarks Friday afternoon in Hanoi while meeting with Vice-Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Chen Jinhua.
Vietnam speaks highly of the great achievements that China has obtained in the reform and opening-up drive, Khai said, adding that the achievements have promoted the combined strength and the international prestige of China.
The relationship between Vietnam and China, in recent years, have greatly developed in many fields, Khai said, stressing that the party and state of Vietnam highly appreciate and warmly welcome the exchanges and cooperation between CPPCC and Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF).
He also praised the successes of the first Boao Forum for Asia held in China in April, saying that the party and state of Vietnam will continue to support the forum, with an aim to promote the mutual understanding, making contribution to the common stability and prosperity in the region.
During the meeting, Chen Jinhua said that the exchanges and cooperation between CPPCC and VFF have been increasingly developing, bringing each other's advantages into full play in order to promote the friendly relationship and cooperation between Vietnam and China.
Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Manh Cam also met with Chen Jinhua on Thursday.
