The Hong Kong-based Taiwanese journalist Liu Hai-juo remains in critical state after a train crash in Britain, but doctors strive to save her life, the Taiwanese cable TV network TVBS said Monday.

Doctors in Britain said Liu's vital signs were good and they would try their best to save her life, according to TVBS.
The 34-year-old Liu, who works as an anchorwoman for Phoenix Satellite Television in Hong Kong, was critically hurt after the accident at Potters Bar, north of London, on Friday.
Her two friends, Wu Chia-ching, 32, a reporter at Taiwan's TVBS cable news, and Lin Chia-hsin, 29, who was studying in London, were killed in the crash.
The three were travelling together when the train derailed which left 7 people dead and 70 injured.
Liu formerly worked with Taiwan's ERA News but left to join Phoenix two years ago.
