Chinese divers scored a two one-two finishes at the FINA Diving World Cup meet in Seville, Spain on Friday as Tian Liang and Guo Jingjing claimed the coveted titles.
Chinese divers scored a two one-two finishes at the FINA Diving World Cup meet in Seville, Spain on Friday as Tian Liang and Guo Jingjing claimed the coveted titles.
Tian, Olympic champion from the Sydney Games, showed his supremacy again in the men's 10 meters platform, winning the gold medal win 558.84 points. His teammate Hu Jia came second with 543. 00 and Cuban Jose Guerra ranked third in 525.33.
After her victory in the earlier women's 1m springboard competition, Guo lifted the title in the 3m springboard with 355. 08 points. Her teammate Wu Minxia edged Russian veteran Irina Lashko for the silver, 322.74 to 322.56.
The five-day World Cup will end on Sunday, with four gold medals at the stake -- in men's platform synchronized, women's 3m springboard synchronized and newly-added events of men's and women 's team competition.
