The Lebanese resistance guerrilla group Hezbollah, or Party of God, Monday fired at incursive Israeli warplanes that broke sound barriers over the capital of Beirut, theofficial NNA news agency reported.

Israeli planes on Monday afternoon flew over most part of Lebanon and broke sound barriers over the capital of Beirut.

Hezbollah's antiaircraft force fired at the planes that were flying over eastern Bekaa Valley, but did not hit the targets.

According to a statement recently issued by local security sources, Israel has violated the Lebanese territory 4,897 times since its troops withdrew from south Lebanon in May 2000.

The United Nations has repeatedly urged Israel to respect Lebanon's sovereignty and the Blue Line between the two countries, which was demarcated by the United Nations to authenticate Israel'swithdrawal.
