China Take Two More Golds in Synchronized Diving

China moved closer to reach their goal of a clean sweep of the eight gold medals on offer, winning two more synchronized diving titles in the men's 3m springboard and women's 10m platform in the Asian Games Wednesday.

China Wins Women's 10M Platform Synchronized Diving
China moved closer to reach their goal of a clean sweep of the eight gold medals on offer, winning two more synchronized diving titles in the men's 3m springboard and women's 10m platform in the Asian Games Wednesday.

Duan Qing and Li Ting scored 315.360 points from five dives to claim victory in the women's platform, beating Kim Kyong-ju and Jon Hyon-ju of the Democratic People's Republic of Koera to secondin 298.200 and Emi Otsuki and Takiri Miyazaki of Japan third in 275.370.

The 15-year-old Chinese duo said that "we felt pressure before the competition because we just trained as a pair for a few months.The Korean rivals are very competitive."

Earlier in the morning, Peng Bo and Wang Kenan collected 346.14points for the men's springboard gold while the silver medal went to Kwon Kyung-min and Cho Kwan-hoon of South Korea in 322.20 and bronze to Roslan Rossharisham and Yeoh Ken Nee of Malaysia 298.080.

China met no challenges on their way to capture all the four synchronized diving titles so far, as Guo Jingjing and Wu Minxia finished atop the women's 3m springboard and Hu Jia and Xu Hao dominated the men's platform.

China have been ruling the Asiad pool by taking all the champions since 1978. It will be their seventh consecutive time if they make another clean sweep in Busan.
