Strong Earthquake in Alaska Detected by Chinese Seismologists

A strong earthquake, measuring 7.2 degrees on the Richter scale, struck the central part of Alaska, the United States, at 19:27 pm (Beijing time) on Wednesday, according to a report from the Chinese seismological monitoring network in Beijing.

A strong earthquake, measuring 7.2 degrees on the Richter scale, struck the central part of Alaska, the United States, at 19:27 pm (Beijing time) on Wednesday, according to a report from the Chinese seismological monitoring network in Beijing.

The epicenter is located in the east of the McKinley National Park, some 300 kilometers from Anchorage, the capital of Alaska, Chinese seismologists said.

No casualties and damages have been reported so far.
