New Russian-American Crew to Make Towards ISS

The technical commission of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration has scheduled for Monday, November 11, blast-off of the Endeavor space shuttle to the International Space Station(ISS).

The technical commission of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration has scheduled for Monday, November 11, blast-off of the Endeavor space shuttle to the International Space Station(ISS).

According to the RIA Novosti information from the Russian Mission Control Center, the goal is replacement of the live-in crew of the ISS and its getting trusses to house solar batteries on the ISS surface.

The 6th live-in crew will be made up of a mixed Russian-American crew of three - expedition commander Ken Bowersox, 45, of the United States, for whom it will be a fifth space trip; first flight engineer Nikolai Budarin, 49, who will make a fourth trip into the Universe; and American flight engineer Don Pettit, 47, who will make his maiden space flight.

The Endeavor is expected to dock with the ISS on November 13 and be back on the earth on November 21-22. Aboard the space shuttle the 5th live-in crew of the ISS, who has been doing work there since June 4, will return to the earth.

NASA Calls Off Endeavour's Launch

With just two hours remaining in the countdown Sunday night, NASA called off the launch of space shuttle Endeavour because of an oxygen leak somewhere deep in the ship.

Shuttle officials said the flight to the international space station would be delayed at least a week.
