China's largest project to produce high-quality lithium batteries has been in operation in east China's Qingdao city.
The country's leading household appliance producer, Aucma, has funded more than 24 million US dollars in the project, which is able to manufacture 30 million high-quality lithium batteries per year.
China's domestic lithium battery market is currently dominated by Japanese products, which also account for more than 80 percent of the world market.
