Beijing Ducks Claim Third Consecutive Home Win

The Beijing Ducks beat the Liaoning Hunters 115-102 on Sunday for their third consecutive home victory in the 2002-2003 season Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league.

The Beijing Ducks beat the Liaoning Hunters 115-102 on Sunday for their third consecutive home victory in the 2002-2003 season Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league.

Jamaican Friend Kimani scored game-high 28 points and Christopher Herren of the United States added 25 to lead five Ducks in double digits.

The Ducks built a 58-42 at the half time but the visitors opened the second half with a 22-10 run to pull within 68-64 with 2:48 remaining in the third quarter.

However, the Hunters faded after their starters Jie Jun and Wang Shouqiang were fouled out early in the fourth period.

American Mustapha Hoff led the Hunters with 26 points.

The Ducks made 14 of their 27 three-pointer attempts, compared with 7-for-19 for the Hunters.
