DPRK Condemns US Containment Strategy
The United States is stepping up its containment strategy to stifle the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said in a commentary released on Wednesday.
The United States is stepping up its containment strategy to stifle the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said in a commentary released on Wednesday.
The commentary said the US produced the anti-DPRK strategy aimed at destabilizing and destroying the system of the DPRK.
The United States was now drumming up its containment strategy against the DPRK in all aspects in order to force the total collapse of the DPRK, it said.
"It was a very dangerous strategy as it contradicted the will of the international community to resolve the nuclear standoff on the Korean Peninsula through peaceful means," the KCNA said.
It added that the strategy also ran against international basic
principles of respect for a country's sovereignty and non-interference with other nations' domestic affairs.
The US strategy is doomed to failure, the commentary said.
