n Airways is seeking to open direct flights to the Chinese mainland, according to airline official Ian Chou.
From April 1, Chinese people will be able to travel to South Africa, but as there are no direct flights, they will have to transfer at

Experts said the airline's new Airbus A340-600 aircraft operating on the Hong Kong-Johannesburg route would satisfy the growing demand of the Asia-Pacific region, especially the Chinese mainland.
South African Airways now operates four weekly flights to Hong Kong. It is in contact with Chinese airlines, seeking to open direct flights soon.
