China Hammer France 3-0 in Algarve Cup

China's women's soccer team have climbed atop their group in the Algarve Cup in Portugal.

China's women's soccer team have climbed atop their group in the Algarve Cup in Portugal.

The former World Cup finalists routed France three to nothing on Sunday to get four points after two matches. They now lead Group B and look to enter the final after taking Denmark tomorrow.

Thursday's championship match will feature winnrs of Group A and B. World Cup holders the United States now lead Group A with four standing points. They beat Olympic champions Norway 1-nil on Sunday.

The Algarve Cup is a traditional warm-up tournament for the World Cup.
