45 Dead, 20 Missing in Floods, Landslides in Nepal
At least 45 persons died and 22 others are missing on Thursday in floods and landslides triggered by heavy rains in various parts of Nepal, according to the country's Home Ministry.

A powerful landslide buried alive 22 persons at Manakamana village in Gorkha district in western Nepal Thursday morning and many others are missing as search and rescue teams work to pull out people buried in the landslide debris is hampered by the rain,the ministry said.
Meanwhile, eight adult people and two children died in landslide in the central districts of Chitawan and Tanahu, while five people including four children died in Makawanpur district incentral Nepal, and the remaining victims were killed in landslidesand floods in some other districts of the country.
The heavy rainfall swept away four vehicles of a hydro power project in Tanahu district and damaged the project.
Many villages are submerged in the floods in the Terai Belt andproperty worth of millions of US dollars is damaged.
