Over 40 Domestic Car Brands on the Road in China

There are now over 40 domestic car brands in China, producing over 200 models. The State Development and Reform Commission said domestic automobile manufacturers are gearing up to meet the upcoming competition from their foreign counterparts.

There are now over 40 domestic car brands in China, producing over 200 models. The State Development and Reform Commission said domestic automobile manufacturers are gearing up to meet the upcoming competition from their foreign counterparts.

In accordance with its WTO commitments, China is to lift its quotas on auto imports in two years. In addition, import tariffs will be greatly reduced.

Over one million and seventy thousand cars were made in China in the first seven months of this year.
