Chinese Vice-Premier Calls for Urgency in Job Creation

China must speed up the modernization of its traditional industries in the country's northeast in order to create new jobs and re-employ laid off workers, Vice-Premier Huang Ju said Monday in the capital of Liaoning Province.

China must speed up the modernization of its traditional industries in the country's northeast in order to create new jobs and re-employ laid off workers, Vice-Premier Huang Ju said Monday in the capital of Liaoning Province.

After studying the social security systems and job creation in the province, Huang said the reform of state-owned enterprises must be deepened and the modernization of key industries and products must be accelerated.
