China to promote cooperation with Togo: defense minister
China will make concerted efforts with Togo to promote bilateral relations, Chinese Defense Minister Cao Gangchuan said Saturday.

to promote bilateral relations, Chinese Defense Minister
Cao Gangchuan
said Saturday.
Cao, also vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission and a state councilor, made the remark when holding talks with Togolese Minister of Defense and Veterans Assani Tidjania.
Cao said that since they forged diplomatic relations, two countries had made fruitful cooperation in the fields of politics, economy and culture together with frequent high-level exchanges and deepening friendship between the two peoples.
The Chinese armed forces attached importance to developing military relations with Togo, said Cao, adding that China would make efforts to raise military friendship and cooperation between the two armed forces into a new height.
Tidjania extended his congratulations on China's successful launch of the Shenzhou-5 manned spacecraft, and hoped China would continue to make contribution to the peaceful utilization of outer space.
He voiced his thanks for China's long-term assistance to Togo, and reiterated Togo's adherence to the one-China policy.
