Six gold medals were produced on Monday in five senior individual events at the Asian Gymnastics Championships as the Chinese bagged four with Kazakhstan taking another two.

China triumphed in the men's pommel horse, rings and the women's vault as well as uneven bars while Kazakhstan won the men's floor exercise and shared the rings' title.

Liang Fuliang of China, men's team and all-around winners on Saturday, made a golden redemption in winning the pommel horse after he stumbled in the floor exercise which Yernar Yerimbetov finished atop the podium with 9.512 points, beating South Korean Yang Tae Young to second with 9.500 and Yemen's Al-Harazi Nashwan Halder third in 9.362.

In the most dramatic event of the night, Asian champion Liang had been in a three-way tie with teammate Lu Bin and Lin Hsiang-Wei of Chinese Taipei on 9.550 points before his score was changed into 9.562 to top the standings. World Cup vault winner Lu and Lin shared the silver.

"The judges made a mistake on the starting value of Liang's routine, which starts at 10 points," Chinese coach Jin Weiguo explained about the narrowly missed three-way victory.

"In Liang's first event tonight, he wanted to perform well too much to keep steady, so he finished last," said Jin. "But in the pommel horse, he did a good job."

2001 world all-around champion Feng Jing, 18, shared the rings' title with Timur Kurbanbayev on 9.650 while Lu Bin took the bronze on 9.625.

In women's action, newly crowned Asian team titlist Wang Tiantian pulled off the vault victory in 9.499 while her teammate Chen Miaojie finished second on 9.137 and Wu Ling-Yi from Chinese Taipei was third on 9.018.

The uneven bars saw Chen finally get her individual gold as the national uneven bars champion scored 9.775. World beam winner Fan Ye of China took silver in 9.737 and Japanese Ishizaka Manami came third in 9.000.

In junior competition, China made a gold sweep in all of the five events and South Korea shared the pommel horse title.

In men's floor exercise, Zou Kai scored his winning points of 9.125, leaving teammate Liang Mingsheng (9.087) to the second place.Ono Ryuichi of Japan took bronze on 9.000.

In men's rings, all-around winner Tu Jing collected a winning mark of 9.587 as Chen Chih-Yu from Chinese Taipei took silver in 8.675 and Liang finished third on 8.375.
