China to complete national network and information security system in 5 years
China's public Internet emergency response system is being constructed and perfected and China is expected to complete the construction of National Network and Information Security System in five years. Lu Chengzhao, deputy director-general of the Office of China National Network and Information Security Coordinating Group announced the news on Feb.11 in Sanya.

The security system will take in the law, standards, science and technology, product, personnel, security infrastructure and emergency response systems. Along with the frequent occurrence of the Internet security accidents and growing harms the construction of emergency response system and the improvement of ability for emergency response has become an indispensable part in the development for the globalization and networking competition.
The system will cover regulatory and coordinating departments at the national level, major network operators and China's more than 80 million Internet users and the increasing number of group users, said Lu Chengzhao at the national workshop on handling the Internet emergency cases.
He Dequan, academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences said the development of network security problems is now tending to the acceleration of infection rate that is more harmful. Therefore, to cope with network security accidents, it has become an increasingly important problem to strengthen the emergency response management. Nevertheless, the closed-door management and partition between different sectors still exist in China, which hinders the response on events of an overall importance.
As learned the objective of this meeting is to conduct discussions as to the policy, system, organization, technology and operation so as to perfect China's emergency response system and exchanges with foreign organizations. Present at the meeting are also officials from the Information Office of the State Council and the Office of China National Network and Information Security Coordinating Group, China major operators and enterprises engaged in the field of information security.
