Palestinian Prime Minister Ahmed Qureia called on Monday to bring UN peace keeping forces to the Gaza Strip if Israel pulls its army out and evacuate all Jewish settlements.

Palestinian radio "Voice of Palestine" reported that Qurei made the remarks when addressing a speech before the members of the European Union parliament.

The radio quoted Qurei as saying, "In case Israel pulls out from the Gaza Strip, the Palestinian (National) Authority would be able to administrate it instead of the soldiers and the settlers."

"All what the Palestinians need at this moment is to get the political and the financial support to rebuild the Palestinian security forces and bring international peace keeping forces in," said Qurei.

In his statements, Qurei urged the Europeans to criticize the military actions and operations that are carried out in the Palestinian territories by the Israeli army, referring to the death of 15 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip last week.

"They must have enough courage to condemn the Israeli military actions the same as they condemn the suicide bombing attacks," said Qurei.

Qurei, meanwhile, said the Palestinians condemn attacks targeting civilians, no matter if they are by Israelis or Palestinians, adding "we need from the Israelis to condemn what their leaders do as a terror of state."

"We want Europe to condemn killing the Palestinians, because our blood is blood and it is not Pepsi Cola," said Qurei, in reference to the killing of Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza.

Qurei reiterated his willingness to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, adding that it is necessary for such a meeting "to succeed."
