New program of Far East oil pipeline to reach China
Russian state-run oil company announced on Mar. 3 the company planned to complete the technological and economic feasibility studies of the new investment program of the Far-east oil pipeline at the beginning of 2005 and finish the calculation of cost by the end of 2004.

According to report by Russian ITAR TASS, two pipelines are planned in the new program, one to Nakhodka and the other branch to China. Different from the long controversial two lines of Angarsk�CNakhodka and Angarsk �C Daqing, China, the new project starts from Tajshet connecting Baikal-Amur railway and then goes through north of the Baikal Lake and finally reach Nakhodka.
