The United States has lifted an import ban on birds and bird products from Hong Kong. Hong Kong authorities reported a single case of avian flu in mid-January, and have detected no additional cases of avian flu H5N1 since then.
To protect poultry and humans in the US from the possible spread of avian flu H5N1, the country issued the importation ban on February 4th to some Asian countries and regions.
However, with the situation continues to develop, the US said they will review the ban.
