Fatah and Hamas on Sunday jointly claimed responsibility for a double suicide bombing in the Israeli seaport of Ashdod, Palestinian sources said.
The sources said that Ezzedine Al Qassam, the armed wing of Hamas, and Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades affiliated with the Fatah movement carried out the attacks jointly at the port, killing at least nine people and injuring 19 others.
According to the sources, someone speaking on condition of anonymity told Palestinian reporters over phone that the blasts were the work of the two armed wings and a leaflet would come out soon, clarifying details of the attacks as well as the identities of the two bombers.
