A sketch titled "Flowering Chinese Crab apple" drawn by the late Chinese artist Zhang Daqian, has been unveiled for the first time in Chengdu, capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province.
Zhang Daqian created the work in 1982, the year before he died in the Chinese island province of Taiwan.
He wanted to express his yearning for his hometown in Sichuan through the sketch.
Zhang Daqian's later paintings are rarely exhibited in the Chinese mainland, as most of them are on display in Taiwan province's Palace Museum.
Another painting named Snowwhite Crow, jointly created by the master and his friend, has been shown as well.
