At least 15 people were killed and more than 300 were injured in Kosovo on Wednesday in clashes of Albanian extremists with the Serb minority and KFOR international forces and U.N. police, according to the latest data of the emergencies headquarters in Pristina.

The situation is very tense now in Kosovo where about two million Albanians reside, while the Serb population numbers about 70,000.

If Serbs finally leave Kosovo, as they left the traditional residence territories in Croatia and Bosnia in 1994-96, Kosovo leaders will have possibility to declare independence of the territory and separation from Serbia.
