The 9th reunion of separated families and relatives began at Mt. Kumgang Resort. Separated families and relatives of the north side had a collective meeting with those of the south side Tuesday according to the agreement between the Red Cross organizations of both sides.

When meeting, they hugged each other to share warm greetings and regards with kindred feelings.

Families and relatives of the north ardently called on their kindred from the south to rise up in the patriotic way for national reunification under the uplifted banner of the June 15 joint declaration, saying that the Korean nation can reunite its severed ties and achieve co-prosperity only when they pool their efforts by themselves.

Families and relatives of the north side had a family meeting each with their kindred from the south and shared their retrospection in a harmonious atmosphere today.

Meanwhile, the Central Committee of the Red Cross Society of the north side arranged a reception for the separated families and relatives of both sides.

They looked round Lagoon Samil, a scenic spot.

The reunion continues.
