Sources say that in 2004 Chinese government is to invest 40 billion yuan in information industry, in which 27.92 billion in hardware market, 7 billion in software market and 508 million in IT service market.

Qu Xiaodong with IT circle introduced that the growth rate of China's expenditure in IT will be 15 percent and there will be a peak in the second half of 2006 to 25 percent followed by a continuous growth to 2009.

In 2008 the aggregate of expenditure in IT will be 588.8 billion yuan which means that China will spend two trillion yuan on IT during the upcoming five years, 1.3 times as much as that over the past 23 years. Industrial market will remain the main driving force of China's expenditure in information industry.
