ROK, Japanese FMs discuss DPRK nuke issue over phone
South Korean Foreign Minister Ban Ki-moon and his Japanese counterpart Yoriko Kawaguchi agreed Thursdayon closer cooperation to peacefully resolve the nuclear issue of Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).

During a 20-minute telephone conversation, the two top diplomats also discussed ways of holding the third round of six-way talks before June, reported South Korean Yonhap News Agency.
Ban stressed the necessity of holding meetings of the working group, which were agreed upon at the latest six-way meeting held in Beijing in February, as soon as possible. Kawaguchi supported the idea, said Yonhap.
Ban also briefed the Japanese official on the results of his meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing during his visitto Beijing from March 28-30.
China, the DPRK, the United States, Russia, South Korea and Japan held the second round of nuclear talks in Beijing in February, six months after the first one.
