Uzbekistan on Friday called on its residents to be vigilant against possible terrorist attacks, news from capital city Tashkent said.
In Tashkent, the city commission said in statements that it is the common responsibility of every citizen "to protect peace in the country, the former calm life of children, women and the elderly."
Statements said citizens should "contribute to safeguarding security and maintaining tranquillity in neighborhoods and residential areas."
The call came after a spate of suicide bombings and other attacks in the country starting on Sunday.
In the latest suicide bomb attack, a woman detonated a bomb in a house in a town near Bukhara on Thursday, killing a man and seriously injuring herself.
It occurred at about 4 p.m. local time (1100 GMT) near a local police station in a town 10 km outside Bukhara, the same place where alleged terrorists accidentally set off an explosion that killed 10 people on Sunday night.
The woman's husband was among the 10 killed in Sunday's blast, Itar-Tass said.
The incident brought the death toll in the Central Asian country's recent terrorist violence to about 50, most of whom werealleged terrorists.
