In 2013, an electric car called Tesla shook the world and led a surge of electric vehicles all over the world. Tesla has created a wave of glory in the U.S. stock market. Later the concept of electric cars came to China and stirred Chinese stock market as well.

Chinese domestic car makers, BYD for example, have long been ready to enter the forefront of the new energy vehicles. It is reported that a dozen of electric cars will be on sale in domestic market.

Tesla is one reason. Both the governments and ordinary people in China are aware of the urgency of new energy transportation because Chinese cities have been suffering from smog in recent years. Chinese people have been pushed to the fork in the road.
　　
China’s Ministry of Finance and other four ministries jointly issued a notice about promoting new energy cars on Sept. 13, 2013, which stated government financial subsidies for new energy vehicles. It dispelled worries among domestic new energy automobile manufacturers and encourages them to spend more efforts in research of clean vehicle s.

In the middle of December 2013, BYD released a latest hybrid sedan which caused a great sensation in the market.
