China Hong Kong CE to Attend Macao Handover Ceremony

Tung Chee Hwa, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong SAR of China, will lead a Hong Kong delegation to Macao on Sunday to attend Macao Handover Ceremony, a Government spokesman said Thursday.

The spokesman said Tung would attend the ceremony and other related events as a member of the Chinese government delegation.

Among the delegation are the Chief Justice, the Chief Secretary for Administration, the Financial Secretary and the Secretary for Justice. The delegation comprises 45 members.

During Tung's absence, the Financial Secretary and the Secretary for Justice, who will visit Macao at different times on the two days, will take turn to act as Chief Executive.
