China approved three draft regulations on January 10 to ensure quality construction, improve financial supervision, and prepare for a new census.

The Draft Regulation Concerning The Management of The Quality of Construction Projects, The Draft Provisional Regulation Governing the Board of Supervisors of Key State-Owned Financial Institutions, and The Draft Procedures for the Fifth National Census all were approved at the 25th executive meeting of the State Council, presided by Premier Zhu Rongji.
