When post-90s graduates meet Chinese problems (2)

(People's Daily Online)

Ideal situation for those post-90s people described by the media would be 5,000 yuan a month, no overtime, fair competition, a decent job, and so on. The unrealistic requirements were exaggerated more or less. Simply speaking, what those post-90s people cannot overcome on employment is the Chinese style problem. It is unfair for those young graduates to solve all these.

Firstly, this is the result of our education system. Universities have been expanding enrollment and focusing on financial benefits for over a decade. Universities have provided this market with many "wrong" graduates, whose specialties do not match the requirements of the current market. Now the result finally shows.

Secondly, this is a problem of social unfairness. The old channel of moving upwards has been blocked because of unfairness and relations. This made people use their relations to get a job. According to a survey, 41 percent of people have to rely on relations to find a job. This unfairness also includes discrimination gender and hukou. A student with master degree in Xiamen applied for 300 positions but only received one reply. While the main problem in Beijing is the hukou issue.

The most significant reason is that the industrial upgrade did not catch up. Our industry mode has never transformed from "made in China" to "created in China". China is at the bottom of the global industry chain and became a victim of the economic crisis. The new generation has to be the one of taking social responsibilities.

Today, automation and mechanization require less and less number of workers, and more and more people in service industry, but China has not upgraded from an industrial society to a service society.

For these young people facing this "aging" generation, we can only say graduation is just a beginning for you.

We need time to find a good job and create a beautiful life. We must find a job to do, and cannot stay at home relying on parents.

A position with more opportunities to contact customers will allow you to understand more about the requirements of the market and clients, as well as yourselves. The understanding of the society and consumers is a must for your future success.

Moreover, factories are good places to work. They are not necessarily full of assembly lines today, they need college graduates to help them upgrade.

It is said that five years after your graduation is a key period to decide your future life. You need to try at first and then find your direction of life.
