England's Charlton Athletic to play two games in China
font size

English premier league side Charlton Athletic will train and play two matches in mid-July, organizers said in Shenzhen on Tuesday.

The Shenzhen Evening News said that the east London team will visit Shenzhen and Shanghai during eight days in China.

Alan Curbishley's side, who lies seventh in the Premiership, will first play Chinese premier league side Shenzhen and then meet a Shanghai team.

Charlton will be the second English premier league team to visit China, five years after Manchester United played Chinese champions Shanghai Shenhua in 1999.
