Mengjinglai Scenic Area is 2km from Daluo Town of Menghai County, bordering Burma in the east and seated on the Kunming-Daluo Road in the west. In the south, one also will find a big coverage of rubber tree forest.

The village, covering 5.6 sq km, has cultivated multi-acres of paddies and fish farms to create pastoral landscapes. It as well exhibits profound primitive ethic culture and features as an ecological community. Buddhist temple, pagodas, Bodhi trees, natural springs and the village are integrated with each other here; and the long history, colourful natural sceneries and human resources have all embodied the Buddhist culture of Hinayana.

Traditional techniques have been inherited in Mengjinglai Village that is co-inhabited by Dai and Shan, including paper-making, iron-forging, brewing, cloth-dyeing, sugar-making, pottery making, Gaosheng rocket, and brocading etc.
