Nightclub shooting kills 1, injures 1 in Houston

HOUSTON, June 16 (Xinhua) -- One person was killed and another injured in a shooting at a nightclub in the U.S. city of Houston Sunday, local media reported.

The incident happened in the early morning at an after-hours club in southeast Houston, the real-time report of the Houston Chronicle said.

Police were called to the scene and found two men shot, with one dead and the other injured. The shooting happened when a fight inside the club escalated and someone started shooting.

There is no available information about the suspect who is still at large. Police are questioning witnesses and conducting an investigation.

This is the second nightclub shooting in Houston in as many days. Four people were shot, including one fatally, at a club in southwest Houston on Saturday.
