This is the third round of in-port rest and replenishment of the taskforce since it set sail on August 8, 2013.

Representatives from the Chinese Embassy and Consulate in Saudi Arabia and China-funded enterprises greeted the taskforce at the pier when the "Jinggangshan" ship was sailing slowly into the Port of Jiddah at 09:00.

After the warship berthed at the port, staff members of the China-funded institutions as well as Chinese Muslims who just completed pilgrimage boarded and visited the warship.

So far, the 15th Chinese naval escort taskforce has escorted 113 Chinese and foreign ships in 28 batches and expelled many suspected boats, ensuring full safety of the escorted ships.

During the in-port rest and replenishment, the "Jinggangshan" ship will be replenished with such materials as fuel and water, and the Chinese officers and men will be organized to take rest by turns.

To ensure continuity of the escort mission, the guided missile frigate "Hengshui" and the comprehensive supply ship "Taihu Lake" of the taskforce will carry out the escort mission in the waters of the Gulf of Aden.
