Chinese foreign minister meets Chadian counterpart

BEIJING, Aug. 27 -- Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi held talks with Chadian Minister of Foreign Affairs and African Integration Moussa Faki Mahamat on Tuesday.

Bilateral ties have seen great development in recent years and benefited the people of both countries, Wang said, adding that China will work with Chad to further enhance mutual political trust and strengthen the cooperation on international issues.

Faki praised China's efforts on Chad's peace and development, noting that his country is willing to deepen bilateral ties.

The two sides also exchanged views on international and regional issues of common concern.
