Chosun Ilbo's editorial said, in the next four years since Park Geun-hye and Barack Obama become partners is the decisive historical period for the fate of the Korean Peninsula. The two presidents to establish mutual trust between individuals and form reliable partnership to calmly deal with unpredictable danger in the Korean Peninsula in the future are also very important.

Victor Cha, senior advisor at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington believes that the establishment of a personal relationship with Obama is an important goal of Park Geun-hye's visit. He believes that Obama has quite good relationship with former South Korean President Lee Myung-bak, demonstrated in cases such as U.S.-Korea Free Trade Agreement (KORUS FTA) that came into force 14 months ago. Today, Park Geun-hye is trying to build a similar relationship of trust with Obama.

South Korea is the seventh largest trading partner of the United States, while the United States is South Korea's second largest trading partner. Bloomberg reported that, as U.S. making efforts to attract countries to join the TPP, Park Geun-hye's current visit is undoubtedly a chance to promote the ROK-US relations. Park Geun-hye is indeed working very hard. In addition to government officials, the accompanying South Korean business delegation of more than 50 people make this time ne of the largest overseas visits of South Korean leaders.

Of course, many problems need to be discussed during the ROK-US meeting, including the revision of the ROK-U.S. Atomic Energy Agreement, assess United States Forces Korea (USFK) expenses, and the transfer of wartime operational control to South Korea at the end of 2015.

It is impossible to solve the Korean Peninsula issues in one ROK-U.S. meeting as the South Korean media expected, however, in this "show", the information conveyed by both parties is worth the attention.
