KIEV, Jan. 17 (Xinhua) -- Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych on Thursday called for speedier implementation of reforms crafted to modernize the country's economy.

"The philosophy of reforms and modernization requires, above all, responsible attitude," he said during a meeting of the Committee on Economic Reforms.

The government should develop a clear action plan for 2013 in order to realize the national development strategy, Yanukovych said, adding that the health care reform must be among its priorities.

The president, who has set a goal of entering the top 100 countries in the World Bank's business environment ranking next year, also instructed responsible officials to improve Ukraine's investment climate.

In 2012, Ukraine climbed 15 notches to the 137th place in the annual "Doing business" ranking.
