5.7-magnitude quake hits off the east coast of Honshu, Japan

BEIJING, May 2 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale jolted off the east coast of Honshu, Japan at 2013-05-1 23:13:06 GMT on Wed (2013-05-2 07:13:06 Beijing Time), the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 14.90 km, was initially determined to be at 34.7960 degrees north latitude and 141.6626 degrees east longitude.
