France's Areva says 13 wounded in Niger twin bombings

PARIS, May 23 (Xinhua) -- French nuclear reactor producer Areva confirmed on Thursday that its plant in northern Niger was struck by bombing attacks, leading to the injuries of 13 of its employees.

Two car bombing earlier on Thursday struck an Areva's uranium site at Arlit and a military camp in Agadez, the largest city in northern Niger, local media reported.

The suicide bombers killed themselves in the attack.
