THE HAGUE, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- Heavy snowfall in the Netherlands has disrupted traffic and land transportation, causing record traffic jams extending over 1,000 kilometers, the Dutch motoring organization ANWB said on Tuesday.

Traffic in Amsterdam Rotterdam, The Hague and Den Bosch and surrounding urban areas were especially affected by the snowfall,

Train services also suffered from the harsh weather, with several trains being canceled.

A number of flights were also canceled but did not lead to chaos.
