Girl falls to death

A 3-year-old girl died after falling from the ninth floor of an apartment in Zuojiazhuang, Chaoyang district, Beijing News reports.

Residents claimed that they heard a very loud noise at 6:30 pm Tuesday evening before they found a girl lying on the ground bleeding. She was still breathing when her mother reached her. After the ambulance arrived, she was confirmed dead.

The accident occurred when the mother was out shopping, leaving her daughter at home alone. Police are investigating.
