BEIJING, May 8 (Xinhua) -- A Foreign Ministry spokeswoman said China appreciates a recent comment made by French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius regarding China's development.

"This shows that the concept of 'win-win cooperation' that China has actively advocated has brought a positive response from other countries," spokeswoman Hua Chunying said at a regular press conference.

Fabius said during a recent visit to Hong Kong that China's development will bring new opportunities to the whole world, as well as boost employment in France and the rest of Europe.

"I believe every person on the earth who is insightful and free of bias will reach the same conclusion as Fabius," Hua said.

Hua said French President Francois Hollande's April visit to China resulted in both sides reaching a consensus on strengthening bilateral relations and deepening cooperation.

Hua said China is ready to work with France to boost bilateral ties in order to bring more benefits to both sides and contribute to global peace, development and prosperity.
