BEIJING, May 8 (Xinhua) -- Senior Communist Party of China (CPC) leader Liu Yunshan on Wednesday met with a delegation of the Alliance for the Republic of Senegal led by Mbaye Ndiaye, minister of state at the presidency and a member of Senegal's national directory.

Liu, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, said China-Africa ties have entered a new stage of development.

"China-Senegal relations have formed an important part of China-Africa ties," Liu said, expressing hope that the two sides can boost political trust and intensify cooperation between the political parties and governments of both sides.

Liu pledged to carry out discipline, encourage innovation and boost creativity in order to fortify the CPC's leadership.

Ndiaye said Senegal admires what China and the CPC have achieved, expressing hope to learn from and exchange experience with China and the CPC.

The delegation is visiting China from May 6 to 14 at the invitation of the CPC.
