HK chief executive to visit New York

HONG KONG, June 3 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong Chief Executive CY Leung will visit New York to attend the Trade Development Council trade-promotion events from June 9 to 13.

Leung will address the Think Asia, Think Hong Kong symposium opening session, and attend the Hong Kong dinner for this event's closing. He will also address a New York Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office reception for the New York Asian Film Festival's Hong Kong Movie Week opening.

Leung will meet New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg, and officials from the National Committee on United States-China Relations, the Hong Kong-United States Business Council and the New York Stock Exchange.

Chief Secretary Carrie Lam will be Acting Chief Executive during his absence.
