China, U.S. to hold security, arms consultation

BEIJING, June 5 (Xinhua) -- China and the United States will hold the sixth consultation on strategic security and multilateral arms control in Beijing, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei said on Wednesday.

Assistant Chinese Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu and Acting U.S. Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Rose Gottemoeller will chair the dialogue scheduled for Thursday.

The two sides will exchange views on building a new-type of relations between big countries, regional subjects of importance and multilateral arms control issues, Hong said.
