Safeguarding national sovereignty and security and protecting people's interests override everything

In recent years, with ever complicating and varying international strategic situation, the comprehensiveness, complicity and diversification of China's safety issues have further intensified, which become increasingly interwoven and interactive. The mission to safeguard national unity, territorial integrity and interests of development has become more painstaking.

Due to historic reasons, China has disputes with some countries over territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests. China has consistently advocated peacefully resolving international disputes, contradiction and issues through dialogue, negotiation and equal consultation, and firmly opposed to any actions that complicate or aggravate regional situation.

Over the past several years, some countries have intentionally provoked China over territorial sovereignty, which is a root for tense regional situation. Chinese government and military's determination to safeguard national territorial sovereignty is unswerving. We persist in the path of peaceful development, but not at the price of core interests of our nation.
